Summer in the Garden Back Home

These shots (apart from the coffee beans) were taken a couple of weekends back when I went home to Cheltenham for the weekend. Took my camera and it's macro lense so made use of the new garden environment to explore :)

And finally a gentle white poppy flower - ummm, can almost smell the opium

And the stamen from the lilliy (neary abstract)

These were some terrific orange lilliy things that were just catching the evening light. Splendid

Can you guess what it is yet?

Experimenting with coffee beans in macro. These three are placed inside a yellow flower on a blustery day (I hate wind).

Happy Independence Day America

Now get off you back sides and call your evil dictator (I'm refering to W. Bush) to order. Hold him accountable to the devastation that he is seeking to bring upon this world if he does not take action at the G8 Summit.

I really pray that Tony Blair (who I fully support) will seriously considder breaking ties with Bush, stand up for Justice (trade justice) and lead the remining G6 in becomming proper stewards of this world.

Come on Blair!!

(ps: isn't this a nice flower I shot earlier today?)

What a flower taken at lunch time today. I shot in RAW and the result is pretty damn fine. Unfortunately there is a harsh shadow on the left side. I'll re shoot it tomorrow and do a comparison between shooting RAW and JPEG.
